It's a fact that we in San Antonio are very spoiled with the amount of mexican(or texmex) choices we have. It seems every corner there is somewhere to get tacos. When I first started reviewing I made the typical mistake of giving some places 5 and 4 stars, looking back now should have been a 2/3. I will revisit them, so now let's get back to the review of this establishment. First, the inside is nothing fancy. They didn't put too much time into decor, BUT when the food is this great, you don't have to. There are literally only 2/3 minor negatives, but like always let's start with the positives. Our order was caldo de res, one chicharon en salsa taco, one tripa taco, and enchilada plate with the crispy taco, and the fajita plate. Of course we ordered corn on our tacos and for my caldo. Let's start with the chips and sauces. The chips are fresh, and the salsa has a little kick to it. Nice they didn't try to tone down it down like most places have and serve you Taco Cabana type salsa. The red and green sauces were awesome, with the green being the table favorite! The tacos...the tacos..the tacos... A perfect corn tortilla, perfectly crispy tripas, and superbly cooked chicharon en salsa! Wow. Some of the best tacos we've had, on par with the overpriced fiesta tacos they serve downtown. The kids loved the enchiladas, even the beans and rice! They always leave one or the other. The misses loved her fajitas. Honesty they seemed more like carne asada, but oh well it was still delicious!!! My caldo also had a lot of meat, and the corn tortillas again were perfect! Since no place is really perfect, let's get to the negatives. My caldo lacked salt. For me I'm a little sensitive, and hardly ever add salt to food when we eat out. I had to add a little salt to it. With how well all the rest was well seasoned, I think it might have been a fluke. After the salt it was great. Where the corn tortillas were spectacular, the flour tortillas, were...umm..bad! It's shame they were, and glad we got corn with our tacos. The last was our waitress. It was extremely hard to understand her when she spoke. We asked numerous times to repeat what she said. Not because of language. Then she would repeat our order several times, and even after we asked her if she got it all, she still forgot stuff. Also not as attentive, and it wasn't super crazy busy. We had to flag her down several times. It's was a minor nuisance, and I know sometimes that staff may be new and not trained properly. With all being said this is now our go to place in town, sorry Andreas but good coffee is not enough any more!

We tried this place for the 1st time. We had the breakfast tacos. They were amazing & made with fresh corn tortillas.

Service is superb! The ambiance is very laid back. Great breakfast spot, if your in the mood for some tasty breakfast! This morning I had the steak and eggs plate with my ranchero sauce on the side and the other dish was a Huevos ranchero plate with extra bacon. Also, tortillas are authentic! Will continue returning!

Great food at a great price. The service is amazing with everyone greeted upon entry and quickly provided a menu. To go orders are done quickly and quantity of food is served the same as in restaurant. Wish they were open for dinner but always a great option for lunch.

This place has no reviews and is amazing! Definitely a Mom and Pop/Hole in the wall type of place. We have been here a couple of times and enjoyed everything. Service always 10/10, they don't let your coffee get cold. Come check it out!

Ordered the lengua and tripe tacos... they're huge! Lengua was soft and tender, while the tripe was crispy and crunchy. Added both to one taco and it was the best of both worlds. And that green sauce is so creamy and spicy, love it Will definitely return to try the more off the menu!

When I look for Mexican food, I look to see if people complain about it not tasting good or having issues. This way I know it's authentic and it's going to be good. The service was lacking when I went in for breakfast tacos. No one greeted me, nor said anything. The waitresses literally ignored us and were just chilling behind the counter lol. With that being said, there was no big menu to look at and we were told to just grab a menu laying in a counter. After looking over it, we ended up getting a bunch of breakfast tacos and OMG, the ambiance of ignoring us and just the typical Mexican restaurant showed it's true colors. They were AMAZING! Super greasy though. Asked them to double bag or they WILL make their way out the bottom of the paper sac! 12/10 would def eat here again and again!
